Goodbye...

My holiday is over and I'm back in LA! I've had a very long summer three months. Concerts, festivals, Brussels, days in Amsterdam. I will miss my free time and not worry about a thing. So I decided to stop with my blog. Its been 5 years. My reason to stop with it is I just don't want people to know what I'm doing. I'm okay with the fact that most of you are strangers. But I know that there are people who are not strangers. I don't like to share too much stuff on social media or even in real life. I'm not saying I share many personal stuff on here just 1% of my life. Trust me the other 99% ain't no rainbows and sunshines. I don't share on my blog everything or not even the happiest moments of my life because you need to keep it for yourself and enjoy. So I will stop. You followed a bit of my journey I shared with you from 14 year old me to 19 year old. And ofcourse the biggest step moving to America alone. You can follow a small bit of my life on my instagram. I will also stop being active on instagram, and not worry about my posts and I've also done lots of sponsored posts what also made me instagram tired. The sponsored posts is a lot of work, and sometimes you don't get paid but you still want it to be perfect. The sponsored stuff is usually not my style I feel 'fake'. I would not usually pick those kind of clothes or tell young girls to buy that cremé. Also I want to tell you that the moments I'm really happy I usually don't capture on pictures. And thats okay because you keep it in your memory. I'm not saying social media is a bad thing but its addicted, and makes you feel depressed. But I am not going to delete my instagram because I've worked hard for it and I would like to keep in touch with some people, and see how they're doing. Many people bother me and I would like to unfollow them and 'delete them from my life', but now-a-days its the worst thing you can do is to unfollow someone. Which is stupid because its your right to not be with the ones you don't want to be. And I don't like the fact when you meet new people and they want to have your instagram, snapchat, facebook. Follow your life. I stopped doing that for years giving people my social media, but they still find it somehow. You should keep yourself private do it the old fashion way meet a guy in a club, in the train, or on the street. Give him nothing just like in the old days your phonenumber and only a call. Its much better then getting a snapchat 'send me nudes.' Well soooo sorry for the long post. You will never hear of me again. But I keep on writing but somewhere private.

FESTIVAL READY!! ROCKWERCHTER

Its that time of the year... ROCKWERCHTER!!! My first festival and the biggest one in Europe. I'm so excited. I'm off tomorrow for holiday trip to seaside in Holland and then to Bruxelles. Haven't been a while in Belgium. And then friday it is festival time. We will be seeing: RADIOHEAD, Oscar & The Wolf, Dualipa, and more belgium people. I will be dying my hair pink again like last year! My festival outfit will be: Sex pistols shirt, levis short, and my old sneakers. This is ain't coachella where people go with there stupid daisy's in there hair and glitter cheekbones and listen to Lana Del Rey while eating their $20 quinoa vegetarian burger. THIS IS ROCKWERCHTER where you wear your old worn sneakers full of mud and your shirt with holes and a big burger with fries while your singing with radiohead because I'm a creeeep I'm a fuckin weirdooo!!! Scroll down for festival outfit ideas -->

Summer Break

Its been already two weeks since I left Los Angeles. I'm so glad to be back home! I also got my grades back of this semester. An A for film festival studies, B for Narrative, B for film production, B for editing. The weather is perfect in Holland, lots of beach days and getting tan. Oh I btw watched the episode of Sense8 on Netflix and took some screenshots. I'm next to the actor in the middle and I have no idea where I'm staring at haha. Probably thinking about pizza tho.

haven't done much being back home. I went with a friend last weekend for a high tea. It was my first high tea, very pricy and not worth the money. And I end up going to the toilet FOUR times in one hour because I had a tea overdose.

That night we went out. It was nice to be in Europe again and drink and just go in a club.

Tomorrow I'm going to Amsterdam. I'm going to a concert in the Melkweg of Thomas Azier. Its been four years ago I went to the concert of Stromae and the act before him was Thomas. No one knew him and now four years later he is playing there all by himself! I'm excited to have the Amsterdam concert vibe again.

Also this summer I'm going to my first festival: R O C K  W E R C H T E R ! I'm super exicted. I've always dreamed about this festival. Its one of the most famous festivals in Europe. Its in Belgium. And mainly why I love it is because all my favorite artists go there. I will be going on a friday because Radiohead is performing and many more. Stay tuned for many festival pictures ;-) I'm also thinking about to dye my hair back to pink like I did last year. Also this summer I'm visiting back Brussels. I also hope to travel this summer break. I would love to see Paris or either Italy. But we will see! Three months no school. Best feeling ever. Xx

Film Production

Hi this post I just want to tell you the explanation of studying Film and Tv Production, and I also want to share why I am studying this. So first I will share why. I’ve always had a big passion for film. I’ve started watching movies on a very young age. I was that kind of kid that would go to bed early, but then manipulate my parents so I could sleep in their bed and watch tv with them. So I watched adult movies, probably at age 2. Oh wow no I’m not meaning adult movies like in a porn way, just saying. So at that age I might not understand every part of the movie, but I still kind of did. I watched also The Ring (horror movie) when I was six years old, and that was the moment I realised I like horror. I also started watching around that age Desperate housewives, lost, prison break. And then I realised wow series are way more fun then movies. So being a movie geek, I knew I wanted to do something with it, one day… When I was twelve I started doing little acting jobs, and then later on more. I’ve always had theatre on my high school. I never really enjoyed it because I disliked my teacher lol. When my mom was young she also studied theatre. (So maybe thats why I study film..) So at 18 I got the chance to study in LA! And saw that my college is one of the best colleges to study film. If I wasn’t gonna study film, I would have probably chosen for criminology. Oh wait thats a lot different then film. Criminology is just something that interests me, maybe because my grandfathers were both detectives!? Anyway all the law stuff I’m not sure if I’m good in that. So at my school you could choose either Film and Tv Production or Film and Media studies. Film & Media was more the theory behind film and thats not really interesting for me. So I chose the creative practical study film production. The one and only study where we are able to make our own movies for young filmmakers! With this study you learn everything about film, and you could find your way in what you love. You get every subject involved with film. I started my first semester with cinematography.

I already knew a bit about cameras, but now I know a bit more. Also the part of Director of Photography really interest me, because you can choose every shot where you film. But for me being a DP is no chance because only 3% is female in Hollywood. And because its veryyy technical, and I’m not technical. Now I just realize cinematography is such a big part of film. I also noticed my favorite movies (We need to talk about Kevin, Stoker) that I like have a different style of cinema and also focus on the color. I also had as subject editing 1. The first few weeks was an absolutely nightmare!! I didn’t understand a single thing. My teacher was really fast and confusing. But I was smart enough to sit next to the tech guys, and they teached me everything. I learned everything so fast. So my second semester I even chose Editing 2, and turned out to be good in it. Got straight A+ But I found out that I don’t want to be an editor as job. Sure it makes great money, but I just don’t see myself doing it all day. It takes A LOT of work and time. And you don’t get to spend time on the set because its post production. For our main editing final we had 20 minutes of raw footage. I’m not quite happy when I show it because its just not my style. I just do the basic editing. And like on my Instagram my little one minute videos are just so much personal. And they tell me more a story, and I film it unexpectedly. My first semester I also took Acting for the camera & Theatre. For those subjects I got A’s. I really liked the theatre subject. I also like the theatre people you have in class. This semester I had film production 1. I did not really enjoy this subject because it was my first night class. Aka biking in the dark and so so cold in winter. That subject I learned the things I’ve already done in my first subject. Nothing really good to say about this subject, and I also never want to be a film producer! Being film producer is just doing lots of paper, and keeping track of stuff. Not very creative in my point of view. In that class we had to make our own short film (romantic comedy). It was very cheesy because we had to have all these things in our film like soundeffects, and a dream sequence. And I had my roommates as actors...I planned to post the link of the video, but you know screw it I’m not gonna show something stupid. As last final project we did a group project. I was the writer and we had to make 2 minutes of the movie Moonrise Kingdom. We absolutely nailed it because our actors looked very similar.

I also had the subject film festival studies. Which was a loooot of work, but super fun meeting so many people in the business. And anDDD TOUCHING RYAN GOSLING’S HAND BAHAHAHA. My last subject is narrative, thats like screenwriting. I really enjoyed that subject. Also because I found out in my first class that I’m quite good in writing. Maybe thats why I also got a blog lol? When I was young I just read a lot of books. And when I was 10 I even wrote a book! No sad story…I never finished it…. So that doesn’t count right. It was a story called: Juliette and her adventures. About a girl in a foster home. oK blabla Laurine never finished it. GOOD JOB! Maybe I could be a millionare now? Sitting on a island drinking my margarita under a palmtree. But no 10 year old lazy Laurine had better things to do. Anyway I just really enjoy writing:) In my narrative class our main final was a 10 page story. Stupid me ofcourse wrote 15 pages had to condense it back to 10. That’s real torture. I wrote a detective script. like y’all know I love detective murder stories. Scroll down for one page example of the story I wrote. And there it wasn’t made in script yet. So what subjects do I have left for my last semesters?? Directing (I’m super excited to have this subject!) I have Film Production 2, Introduction to film studies, and Audio. Oh god I hate audio. So as you can see I have every part of film. But what do I really want to do with it? My main thing is still acting. Besides that writing and directing. So we will see how it goes. After my degree I can also transfer. My college is together with UCLA, and they have the exact same program to study. So maybe I want to try that… or if ucla won’t work I want to work in the business!

19 T H. B I R T H D A Y

Hi!! Few days ago I turned 19.. May the fourth be with you! So as you know my first birthday alone here in America. I was super nervous for spending it alone. Because like y'all know #antisocialasfuck. But this time I tried to be social. Wowww did I just say that. Yeah I did. So my birthday started waking up... no mom of dad who call you downstairs with breakfast and presents??? No dog with balloons. No this is adult life. You got to do it yourself. So as a real freaking weirdo the day before I bought a chocolate cake for myself. And with myself I mean myself. I am only child we ain't gonna share in life. So stick that in your brains. The only cake they had said feliz cumpleanos. So guess I'm turning Spanish. Also the day before I bought some presents for myself haha. I bought with a friend a matching marine jacket. And it fucking looks good on me. Can I say that? Or am I being 'Kanye West'? Anyway. I also bought like I told you guys hip flask. And some...shit how do I call this... its fuck... I don't know... you hang it up on your walls with picture and it has some sort of light in it. I can't explain. So that morning I opened my prezzies while skyping my mom. Hahaha. This is sounding so sad. WAIT saddest part is coming. I had no breakfast food. So I was like hm cake for breakfast? No. I went on my birthday to starbucks ate a chocolate hazelnut nutella croissant starring at the window. Lol. After that I had my Narrative class. I went with my friend before my class to the cafeteria and we had some cake. Aw becoming social. Small steps. :) haha. Have I told you the cake at my school is super good! And its cheap. The only thing I can afford in the cafeteria is cake. Meanwhile we stood in line. Our professor was next to us and was like 'oh damn cake I'm also getting a slice'. After class went straight back home watching episode of Girl Boss. Go watch that show. It takes place in San Francisco, its about the clothing store Nasty Gal and the clothes are to DIE FOR in the show. After my bingewatchin' session. I went to dinner at my favorite restaurant. Invited people. Four friends came, and it was super fun. We had a nice dinner with our delicious burgers. And I got free sundae fireworks icecream from the restaurant woohooo! My friend gave me this big box of all my favorite food (ferrero rocher chocolate, milano cookies, swedish cookies and a necklace) super sweeet. Only problem is I have 5 days left and I need to eat all the food and its wayyy too much?? After the nice dinner I went to a club with my friend. We went to see Elliphanté some techno dj. We couldn't find the club and later on we found it and it was hidden in this alley. It was upstairs super hidden and just beautiful. The club was super fun. We danced all night. Met new people. My friend is 21+ had a sip of her vodka real quick because literally those security fuckers look all the time at you. Its horrible. Next time Laurine needs to bring her hip flask. So that was my birthday! We danced it off till midnight. For the first time I went on my bday to a club. And I definitely like the club life. Sad thing I'm studying in US tho. Should have studied in Europe and I could be clubbin' erryday. My birthday is not over yet because sunday I will celebrate it with my parents. YAY TO CAKE.

50.000 page views!

Hi guys! I just want to say THANK YOU for 50.000 page views! It's insane. I started this blog in 2012, already five years ago. The reason behind the name infinity skulls arizona is because I was obsessed with the infinity symbol at that time. No one knew what the infinity symbol was. I remember I strolled around shops to ask if they had that specific necklace with the infinity sign. Everbody looked at me like I was crazy. They told me what is infinity? And a year later the infinity symbol was everywhere! You could find all the jewelry and clothes with the symbol. So the next part is skulls. When I was 14 year's old I was obsessed. No literally obsessed with skulls. (not real ones tho..) *Psycho alert* I really liked the colourful mexican ones with the flowers, and also the big bull head. I still want to have one day a big bull head in my living room. So 14 - year - old - me wearing clothes with skulls on it, many jewellry handmade by me { found a little craft shop in lille, france where i purchased many little skull heads :) } I even wore every day my skull earrings, but one day I was at a funeral... and ofcourse I forgot I was wearing them and someone made a joke 'well perfect time to wear those earrings'. After that I stopped wearing them lol. The last part Arizona. No don't you even think about it, its not the arizona drink. In that year I really wanted to study abroad in the USA. Arizona seemed like a cool place. I loved the Grand Canyon, and the desert vibe, motels, and just the typical Lana del Rey ride video. Its so funny all those years I wanted to study abroad, and now I am! So thats the explanetion of my blog name. And after those 5 years I still look the exact same haha. My top five countries who visit my blog is: United States, Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, France. Thank you! Dankjewel!
Спасибо! Дякую! Merci! I still can't believe it in one week I am already leaving. I'm so excited to go back home. And guess what? TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY. yay. I will be turning 19. Nineteen??? So old??? Grandma style. This is my first birthday that I will celebrate without my family:( I was really scared because I thought I was going to be alone this year... but nope. I even purchased for myself two gifts, a marine jacket, and a whisky hip flask. No I am not alcoholic, I've just always wanted a hip flask because they seem cool and people will not complain on party's if I'm not drinking. I will just pour secretly my soda in it so no one complainsss. On the day of my bday MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU #neverwatchedstarwars I will eat first cakee, then I have one class (feels so weird having school on my birthday usually I always had holiday back in holland) then I will go with my friends eating dinner at my favorite restaurant. Has really good burgers. And dessert. Water already dripping out of my mouth. Hehe. And at that night we will have a girls night and go out clubbin'. You have to understand that all the clubs are 21+ but its so weird I discovered on my bday that there is this club here, 18+ and that night a famous dj is coming. Anyway I'm excited to finally go out. Week later back home I'm gonna celebrate my birthday for 2nd time with my family. #perksoflivingabroad celebrating your birthday 2 times! That means two times cake. Can I get a HELL YEAH. Two times presents. Stay tuned xxx btw here are some pictures of last week photoshoot I have done with photographer Alex Thus. Really happy with the results, hope you like them! Let me know what you think on my instagram @surfergirll

Best places in L.A

1# SANTA MONICA

Santa Monica is the place to be. You have the pier with the fair, and you definitely should take a ride in the roller coaster. The best thing is to spend an entire day in Santa Monica, day or night either is fun. At night especially Saturday's very busy, music, but fun! Lots of restaurants to eat. Bubba Gump very famous for shrimps. And one block from the beach front you have streets with shops, people singing and dancing.

2# VENICE BEACH

Spend a day at Venice. Go to the beach. Stroll around the beach front, eat some good food. Or rent a beach cruiser and explore. Venice is next to Santa Monica, I am not sure how far it is but I think you can take a 40 minute walk or just go on your bike! Also the big blue bus is in Santa Monica area and its free. I think its just free for students, but must be very cheap.

3# HOLLYWOOD SIGN

Whats a thing you have to do in LA? Get that typical tourist Hollywood sign photo! The best place to get your picture is drive to Beachwood, its a beautiful street with houses. Also famous beachwood café remember my post where I met Lana Del Rey in the toilet? Well thats the café. Its a hike up the hills. I wasn't ready for that was wearing my heels. But everyone you see there is prepared wearing yoga bra's and having water with them. Very smart. The hike is probably one hour, and one hour back and then you can take your typically hollywood photo.

#4 GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY

also a good place to take pictures from the Hollywood sign, but its a bit further away. You have the epic skyline view of Los Angeles. All the pretty lights where the magic happens.

#5 MELROSE AVE

Most of my wall street photos are taken in Melrose. Melrose Avenue is a big street full of shops. All the shops look the same, so its not really worth to shop. But you have a lot of walls. Like the famous Paul Smith pink wall. Also the angel wing wall, now you also have the Lalaland wall. And many many more!

#6 UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Universal studios located in Hollywood. They have all the studios, plus a studio tour which is pretty awesome. They don't have that many rides as in Orlando, but I still want to go there so badly. They also just opened the famous 'Voodoo doughnut' from Portland, Oregon.

#7 IN-N-OUT

Most famous thing you see from California? Is In-N -Out. I've only been there two times. For me its not that special, its just a burger place. And because its that popular you have to wait for your burger and fries 20 minutes and when you get it... its cold? The fuck aha. So I'm not a big fan. Its cheap. But I'm more of a Burger King person. You can try it if you're ever in LA but I don't recommend it.

#8 BEVERLY HILLS

'Strollin round Beverly Hills in your car with them palm trees. Beverly Hills also known as most expensive neighbourhood. The big mansions are gated, so you can't see that much. You have the famous Beverly Hills Hotel, if you got the money you can lunch there dive in the pool. Go to Rodeo Drive and go window shopping!

#9 HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME

Get your fancy camera ready for the walk of fame! The Hollywood walk of fame is located next to China Town. I recommend eating there. Because china town in the city is always good and cheap! You should really try dim sum. Its kind of a big thing here in California. Its like small dinner plates of chinese cuisine. Yum.

#10 JUST DRIVE

Just drive around and explore! Los Angeles is a big city. There is much to see, and always something to do. You have all the restaurants from the world. So you can pick anything. Thai food? Moroccan food? You have it all. Do need to give you one tip. LA TRAFFIC WELCOME TO HELL!
